This Privacy Policy explains how KidExplain (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the KidExplain mobile application and related services.

Account and identifier data, such as Firebase user ID and authentication-related identifiers.
User content, including questions submitted through the app and related generated answers.
Usage data, such as app interactions, free usage counters, feature usage, and language settings.
Diagnostics and analytics, including crash reports, performance data, and analytics events.
Security-related data, such as App Check validation data and technical logs used to protect the service.
Voice input may be used to convert speech to text. Audio is processed locally on the device and only the resulting text may be transmitted to our servers.

provide and operate the app’s features,

generate child-friendly answers and related content,

maintain question history and usage limits,

improve app quality, reliability, and safety,

detect abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access,

support premium functionality and account management.

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with service providers that help us operate the app, such as hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, subscription, and infrastructure providers.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information. Data transmitted between the app and our services is encrypted in transit using secure protocols such as HTTPS/TLS.

KidExplain is designed to help parents answer children’s questions. The app is intended to be used by parents or guardians. Users should avoid submitting unnecessary personal or sensitive information in free-text questions.
